Corsham Foodbank – About us

Corsham Churches Foodbank was the brain child of the late Gordon Todhunter in 2010. Gordon was an elder of St Aldhelm’s church who invited other local churches to support his idea, this was originally a temporary plan which has now developed into a permanent community project.
The first issue of food was made in May 2011 and in the first 12 months over a 100 bags of food had been distributed. Unfortunately because of the economic climate the foodbank has continued over the last 11 years and in the last 12 months we have helped 1926 adults and children.
With the rise in demand a committee was formed to include those volunteers who have taken on extra duties.
